Update Project Beyondex Firmware

You can use this tool to update the firmware of your Project Beyondex device.
Warning: flashing non-Beyondex firmware (e.g. other uf2 files) will break this tool!

Connect your device
Click Connect device. Your browser will show a device picker—choose “Beyondex HD Audio”.

Enter Update Mode
Click Enter Update Mode. The device will disconnect and reappear as a USB drive called RPI-RP2.

Copy Over the Firmware
Drag/copy beyondex_usb_speaker.uf2 file into the `RPI-RP2` drive.
Warning: flashing non-Beyondex firmware (e.g. other uf2 files) will break this tool for your device!

What happens next?

  • Your device will reboot.
  • Your computer shows a new audio device called "Beyondex HD Audio".
  • What are you still doing here? Go enjoy VR!
Download latest firmware (.uf2) Previous firmware versions
Not connected. Click “Connect device” to begin.

Having trouble?

  • Use Chrome/Edge on desktop (WebUSB is not supported in Safari/Firefox).
  • If the device picker is empty, unplug/replug the device making sure the green LED inside is lit and try again.
