You can use this tool to update the firmware of your Project Beyondex device.
Additional driver required
On Windows, the Beyondex device needs an additional USB driver before the web updater can put it into Update Mode.
You only need to do this once — after installing the latest firmware, future updates will work automatically.
Use Zadig (a free, open-source USB driver tool) to install the driver:
- Download and run Zadig (no installation needed).
- In the menu, click Options → List All Devices.
- Select "Beyondex HD Audio" from the dropdown.
- Make sure the target driver on the right says WinUSB.
- Click "Replace Driver" (or "Install Driver").
- Come back here and try "Enter Update Mode" again.
Note: audio playback through the device will be temporarily unavailable until the firmware update completes.
After flashing, unplug and replug the device — audio and future updates will both work normally.
